Protect Plus Cover is a core feature of ClearScore Protect Plus, which can't be bought separately.
With Protect Plus you’ll be able to access and for Protect Plus Cover for any of the following:
- Cyber cover and resolution support
Our approved cyber specialists can make an initial assessment for:
• Cyber extortion
• Hacker damage
• Phishing, Vishing and Smishing attacks.
They will discuss how to resolve the problem and provide up to 3 hours of technical support and advice on how to secure your online accounts and what to look out for in the future.
- Up to £2,500 identity loss expenses insurance
You'll get a one-off payment of £20 to cover any initial identity theft expenses you have to pay when you contact the police, credit agencies, financial service providers, other creditors, debt collection agencies or legal advisers regarding identity loss.
You can also claim any administration fees you have to pay when a loan is rejected on the basis that the lender received incorrect credit information following identity loss, including any re-application fees you have to pay.
You can also claim loss of earnings for any unpaid leave you have to take to defend or resolve identity loss.
We'll pay a maximum of £2,500 for all claims under this section.
Loss of earnings cover is a maximum of £250 per week and is for a maximum of four consecutive weeks.
- Up to £5,000 identity loss legal cover
We'll pay the costs and expenses up to £5,000 for defending your rights relating to any legal proceedings in a civil court or prosecution in a criminal court arising from identity loss.
- Up to £1,500 living expenses cover
We'll provide you with cash up to £1500 to cover basic living expenses in the event of identity loss as a result of which you have no access to funds or credit. We'll cover reasonable food, shelter and continuation of employment expenses.
- Passport & driving licence cover
If your driving license or passport is lost or stolen, we'll cover your costs to replace them up to £200. This includes emergency replacements abroad.
We'll pay a maximum of £200 per claim under this section.
- Card cancellation
We provide a helpline 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for you to report a card loss. If you report a card loss we'll contact the card issuer and ask them to cancel the card and provide a replacement.
- Up to £3,000 hotel bill payment
In the event of a card loss, if you're left without funds and are unable to pay your hotel bill as a result of this, we'll provide you a repayable cash advance up to the value of £3,000. This may be via money transfer or, at our discretion, be a payment direct to the hotel.
This benefit is only available if you:
• Are away from home when the card loss occurs
• Have no other way of getting credit or funds.

You have access to our personal legal helpline services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Please note that in some cases, depending on the type of advice required and time of call, a callback may need to be arranged.
If you need to use the helpline services, please have your policy number ready. You'll need to tell the adviser that you're a ClearScore customer.
- Vehicle cloning protection
We'll pay the costs and expenses for defending you in civil or criminal proceedings arising from the use of your vehicle’s identity by a third party without permission.
